The Zamfara State Government on Thursday donated a new 500/33 kVA transformer to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Gusau, in a move aimed at improving power supply to the facility.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Medical Director, Dr. Bello A. Mohammed, the Deputy Head of Clinical Services, Dr. Abubakar Musa, described the gesture as timely and highly beneficial to the hospital’s operations. He expressed appreciation to the state government and noted that the transformer would significantly enhance service delivery.

Dr. Musa further called on all tiers of government, relevant agencies, corporate organisations, non-governmental organisations, and well-meaning individuals to emulate the gesture by supporting the hospital through similar donations.

The transformer was donated through the Zamfara State Rural Electrification Agency and the Zamfara State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
