Turaki's professional odyssey commenced in 1989 with nine years of banking experience at First City Monument Bank (FCMB) (formerly NUB, International Bank Ltd). This stint laid the groundwork for future roles in audit and finance areas. In 1999, he joined Federal Medical Centre Gusau, progressing through various positions including Senior Accountant and culminated to a Director of Finance and Accounts. Turaki was once Head of Internal Audit Department (2008-2010) and currently the Head of Finance and Accounts Department, from 2010 to date.

Throughout his career, Turaki has augmented his expertise with numerous fellowships and memberships. He became a Fellow Certified National Accountant (FCNA) in 2012 and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCTI) in 2013. His memberships include that of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIB) in 1992, the Nigerian Institute of Management, Chartered (MNIM) in 2015, Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC) in 2024 and recently in September 2025 he became a Fellow of Atlanta Graduate School, Georgia, United States of America. He recently participated in the 2026 Post-Budget Preparation Sensitization/Training Programme for Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, organized by the Budget Office of the Federation under the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.

Turaki's leadership and expertise have been further honed through participation in various courses, seminars, and workshops. These include public financial management, internal audits, financial reporting, sustainable procurement, contract management and budgeting both locally and internationally.

As Director of Finance and Accounts, Turaki's responsibilities encompass advising on financial matters, establishing accounting systems, managing funds, and preparing budget estimates. His career is full of consistent growth, expertise, and commitment to excellence in Federal Medical Centre, Gusau, in particular and Nigeria's finance sector in general. 

Turaki loves reading everything that comes his way, traveling to local and foreign towns, playing volleyball, and creates time for his children.
